has more than twenty years of teaching experience of all levels and ages. Her students are successful in competitions and auditions. She is Suzuki trained and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Music degree from Yale University. Her teachers include Erick Friedman and Emanuel Borok. Besides her teaching career, Agnes Simkens is an active performer, she is experienced in playing with many different groups that specialize in Baroque music, as well as symphony orchestras and chamber groups.
